A tale of passionNo coincidence, only appointments written in time.
From an early age, Sébastien Geslin has been captivated by materials, textures, and colours. Even before words, it was his hands that spoke — attentive hands, guided by a sense of precision and the quiet beauty of well-crafted objects. This early sensitivity to touch and form led him naturally towards creation. Self-taught, he learned through experience, listening to the material more than following established rules.
He became an independent model maker for major French luxury houses — a discreet, rare, and exacting profession, where each piece is handcrafted, one by one. Each model is a three-dimensional interpretation, faithful to the designer’s vision yet brought to life through the intelligence of the hand. The model maker translates an idea, refines proportions, sculpts forms, and breathes life into the material.
In this high-end environment, Sébastien honed his attention to detail and his eye for elegance. He learned to work with precision, to harmonise form and function, and above all, to remain true to the integrity of the material.
The beginning of another vision
One day, a personal need disrupted the course of his journey: the search for a new pair of spectacles. An everyday object, essential — yet one he wished to be a true reflection of himself. He searched, tried, observed. But nothing resonated. The lines lacked story, the materials lacked soul. He couldn’t find what he was looking for — so he decided to create it.
At the time, there was no thought of a collection. Just one frame, for himself. To see, of course — but above all, to feel. To feel what an object could become when crafted with the same rigour as the exceptional pieces he had always made. An object designed for the gaze, shaped to the face, and capable of elevating the material itself. That first gesture, almost instinctive, became defining. The starting point of a new adventure. The beginning of a Maison rooted in craft, shaped by matter.
Very soon, the frame became a field of exploration. A space both technical and sensory, where rare essences could reveal their nature, where the hand found its precision, and where every detail held meaning.

A House built to last.Where raw matter becomes a noble object.
It is on the French Atlantic coast, near Cholet, that Sēbastien Geslin established his workshop. A place removed from the noise, surrounded by trees and silence. Here, tranquillity is not a constraint, it is a method. Every gesture matters. Every detail is deliberate. Each creation is born of a precise balance between intuition, innovation and craftsmanship.
For over a decade, the Maison has cultivated a singular approach to optical design. Ten years of research, trials, and patient refinements. Ten years of prototyping and innovation, all dedicated to creating frames that are more comfortable, more durable, more precise. A unique temporal adjustment system, developed over time, now provides impeccable comfort — adapting precisely to the contours of each face.
Materials speak a language both natural and technical. The woods are chosen for their traceable origins (PEFC or FSC®), their density, grain and inherent nobility. No two woods are ever alike. Each species, fossil oak, walnut, white ebony, maple, moabi... is harvested with care, then shaped with uncompromising precision. Hand-polished buffalo horn lends the flexibility needed for lasting comfort. Carbon fibre, discreetly embedded, gives the frame a level of strength and stability rarely found in the world of wooden eyewear.
Day after day, the gestures are patient, the finishes uncompromising. Every Sēbastien Geslin frame is handmade in limited series — nothing left to chance. Today’s collections embody a decade of creation: refined, timeless, and rooted in a clear ambition — to restore the optical frame to its rightful place as an object of distinction and style.
"When crafted with respect, refinement, generosity, and time, an object acquires a soul. That, to me, is the definition of luxury." — Sébastien Geslin
