Terms & Conditions

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the sale of products (eyewear and accessories) offered by SEBASTIEN GESLIN on its online sales website (hereinafter referred to as the “Sales Website”), as well as any related services provided in mainland France, for both professionals acting within the scope of their business activity and private individuals purchasing for their personal use.

Please note that these Terms and Conditions of Sale may contain differentiated provisions depending on the status of the customer, whether they are a consumer (subject to the French Consumer Code) or a professional purchasing for business purposes.

Any order of products implies the Client’s full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms and Conditions of Sale. Sébastien GESLIN reserves the right to adapt or amend these Terms at any time. In the event of modification, the version applicable to an order shall be the one in force on the date the order was placed.

The Client may download or print these Terms and Conditions of Sale, which are also permanently accessible on the Sales Website.

Products are described and presented with the greatest possible accuracy. However, photographs and graphic representations displayed on our sales materials are provided for informational purposes only and have no contractual value. The company Sébastien GESLIN cannot be held liable in the event of error.

Colours of raw materials (wood, buffalo horn, etc.) used in the manufacture of the products may vary depending on supply. The hues and natural patterns inherent to these materials are never identical. We therefore cannot guarantee colour or pattern uniformity.

The sales prices displayed on our Website are those in effect at the time the order is placed. Prices are shown inclusive of all taxes (VAT at the applicable rate in mainland France on the day of the order).

Prices may be modified at any time by Sébastien GESLIN, but the applicable price will always be the one displayed at the time of order confirmation.

For orders placed on the Website, prices are indicated in Euros, US Dollars, or local currency depending on the country, inclusive of all taxes. The Seller bears all applicable customs duties and import taxes for deliveries worldwide. The Client will not have to pay any additional fees upon receipt of their order. Shipping and delivery costs are included in the displayed price.

The Client may freely browse the Sales Website and view available products without obligation.

Orders may be placed directly on the Website and paid via credit card. Payments are processed through secure transactions provided by STRIPE. The Website publisher does not access any payment data; transactions are handled exclusively by the banking institution.

By confirming an order, the Client declares having read and accepted these Terms and Conditions of Sale. Orders placed by email and confirmed by payment shall also be deemed full acceptance of these Terms.

Products are handcrafted in the Sébastien GESLIN workshop only after the Client’s order has been validated. Delivery timelines are communicated during the ordering process.

Sébastien GESLIN reserves the right to refuse any order in cases of outstanding disputes with the Client, non-payment of previous orders, or refusal of payment authorisation by banking institutions.

Orders are delivered within a maximum of 60 business days from receipt of payment, unless otherwise agreed. This period may be extended in cases of force majeure, as defined under French law, or due to actions attributable to the Client or third parties.

Products are shipped to the delivery address indicated by the Client. Sébastien GESLIN cannot be held liable in case of error or omission in the delivery information provided.

Upon delivery, the Client must verify the package contents and product condition before signing the delivery note. Any damages must be noted as “goods damaged” or the delivery refused. Reservations such as “subject to unpacking” are not legally valid.

Claims regarding non-conformity or visible defects must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. After this period, the products are deemed accepted by the Client.

For partial loss or damage in transit, claims must be addressed in writing to both the carrier and Sébastien GESLIN within 3 business days of delivery.

Consumers have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without providing any reason.

To exercise this right, Clients must notify Sébastien GESLIN by post or email at the address provided in the order documents.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction. Return shipping costs remain the responsibility of the Client. Products must be returned in their original condition and packaging, complete with accessories and documentation.

For returns from outside the EU, the Client must clearly declare the shipment as a “returned goods” package to avoid customs charges. Customised products are excluded from the right of withdrawal.

All products benefit from the statutory warranty of conformity and the warranty against hidden defects. In case of defect, Sébastien GESLIN shall repair or replace the product, unless such a remedy incurs disproportionate costs, in which case replacement with an equivalent product shall apply.

Warranty claims must be made in writing within 7 days of delivery for apparent defects, or within 2 years of discovery for hidden defects.

In compliance with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), all personal data collected is used solely for order processing and client relationship management.

Clients have the right to access, rectify, or oppose the processing of their data by contacting Sébastien GESLIN via email or postal mail. Requests must include proof of identity and will be processed within 2 months.

Sébastien GESLIN shall not be held liable for non-performance resulting from force majeure, third-party actions, or improper use of products.

The Company is not liable for inconveniences or damages inherent to Internet use, including service disruption, external intrusion, or viruses.

Events considered as force majeure include strikes, supply chain disruption, government restrictions, IT failures, or telecommunications blockages.

If force majeure persists for more than 3 months, the order may be cancelled unless otherwise agreed by both parties.

These Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by French law.

For professional Clients: disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Commercial Court of La Roche-sur-Yon.
For consumer Clients: disputes are subject to French courts, after prior mediation.

Consumers may seek free mediation in accordance with the French Consumer Code.

Mediation services are provided by SAS Médiation Solution, 222 chemin de la bergerie, 01800 Saint Jean de Niost, France.

The overall structure, software, texts, images, graphics, designs, and other elements of the Website are the exclusive property of Sébastien GESLIN.

Any reproduction, in whole or in part, without express authorisation is prohibited and constitutes an infringement under French law.

Hyperlinks to the Website are permitted under the following conditions:

• No deep linking; pages must open in a separate window.

• The source must be acknowledged with a direct link.

• Use is restricted to personal, professional, or associative purposes; commercial use is prohibited.

The brand Sébastien GESLIN is a registered trademark. Any unauthorised reproduction is strictly forbidden.
